A Conscious Economy

"It is clear that Buddhist economics must be very different from the economics of modern materialism, since the Buddhist sees the essence of civilization not in the multiplication of wants but in the purification of human character. Character, at the same time, is formed primarily by a human's work. And work, properly conducted, in conditions of human dignity and freedom, blesses those who do it, and equally their products."
E.F. Schumacher

A Conscious Economy promotes any system of exchange that:

...facilitates the purification of character over the multiplication of wants...

...fosters Awareness...

...advocates balance...

...champions consciousness of input and return...

...increases connectivity...

...blesses mutual achievement...

...and generates abundance without profit, paper, greed, and gold.

"The highest reward for toil is not what you get for it, but what you become by it."
John Ruskin
