THE NEW CULTURE PROCESS Action - Strength

Document 7

“Examining a system from the outside, its components and processes delineated, it can appear rather complex. Take an ant colony, for example. Yet put into motion it is simply behavior; for the ant it is a very efficient and sensible way of Life."
  ~ Soror XNC

There are two forms of simplicity. There is
simplicity due to inactivity, innocence or limited
awareness. And then there is simplicity refined
from intimate knowledge (i.e. consciousness) of
the complex chaos that lies between the two…

So in that case, the answer to chaos and over-
burdening complexity is correlation and then,
refinement.

Consider that a lack of group cohesion will move
the individual parts of the Whole closer toward
disarray and produce a social structure where
the functions of basic survival are of the
individual’s lone concern. Those who thrive are those most fit to the system that does remain, and each is fully responsible for seeing that their own endure.

Restoring the disarray through social models in which every function of survival becomes everyone’s equal concern is a common response. Yet is it any more balanced and “Whole” for every component of a collective body to bear the requirement of fulfilling every function?
These are really just opposite faces of the same idea… the former has the parts of the Whole completing their specialized motions to duplicate the same sort of amenities and possessions, albeit in a very individualized regard… the later has the parts of the Whole cooperatively replicating the same set of motions without specialization, commonly to share in the same amenities and possessions held between all. One has brought Human specialization to its complex extreme; the other has done the same for Human generalization.

Yet Nature’s Truth is that for a “body” to evolve, cooperation and cohesion are to be tempered with specialization. The organs cooperate synergistically but each one is highly specialized to contribute a unique purpose. A cell is specialized in the same way to its role in the organ, and so it is the same with every part and particle. Each has its special place in the cohesion of the Whole.

Toward this end, a common theme among writings of exemplar civilizations is that their constituents are fulfilled by their own special purpose.

we are all stars

If speculation tends thus to a terrific unity, in which all things are absorbed, action tends directly back to diversity. The first is the course or gravitation of mind; the second is the power of nature. Nature is manifold. The unity absorbs, and melts or reduces. Nature opens and creates. These two principles reappear and interpenetrate all things, all thought; the one, the many.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wherever we find an extreme in the modern condition, we must resist
the temptation in the New Culture to answer it with its opposite. Rather, we must discover the opposite and then marry the two into a temperate condition.

This explains why, when we speak of Human Progress and aiming, in every Spiritual sense, toward the Stars, our next breath is in recognition of the Forces and Laws of Nature.

As with the (Macro-Cosmic) "Above", the most predominant quality of Nature is diversity – all the manifold appearances of ONE Truth. Thus it has wisely been said that Unity in our Diversity is the pinnacle of civilized expression. Turning our complex and rich diversity into a harmonious algorithm is the true ennoblement of our race.

Not only is our experience in the material-external made abundant through the great diversity surrounding us, allowing for our Knowing to expand and be refined, the same holds true for the development of the species as a whole, as it does for the development of our micro-biology. Diversity allows for increased opportunities to share and transfer knowledge, increase strengths and immunities, and ultimately evolution. Consider that in Nature the environments which progress are the environments affluent in their bounty of unique, contributing parts AND a high predominance of symbiosis and cohesion.

Unity-in-Diversity can be developed by examining Nature further and replicating the same. The answer is with tempering the needs of the Whole with the needs of each part without diminishing the context of the part’s inherent uniqueness, and while developing a middle meeting ground where information can be exchanged and developed between the two.
