HINDUISM
(Sivananda): Love expects no reward. Love knows no fear. Love Divine, gives, and does not demand. Love thinks no evil; imputes no motive. To
Love, is to share and to serve.
(Bhagavad
Gita 8:22): The supreme Lord who prevades all existence, the true Self of all creatures, may be realized through unwavering love. (Basavanna, Vachana 247): There is no sort of religion that is without Love and compassion. You
need to show Love and compassion to all living beings. Love and compassion are
the root of all faiths.
JAINISM
(Tattvarthasutra
7.11): Have benevolence towards all living
beings, joy at the sight of the virtuous, compassion and sympathy for the afflicted, and tolerance towards the indoldent and
ill-behaved.
SIKHISM

Granth, Maru): Without selfless service
are no objective fulfilled; in service lies the purest action.

(Sun Myung Moon): The position of love can be established when one sacrifices oneself and gives oneself for others. Thus sacrifice accompanies love.
AFRICAN TRADITIONAL PROVERBS
(Kipsigis
Proverb): It is not physical bravery that
counts. One must have the courage to face life as it is, to go through sorrows
and always make sacrifice of one’s self for the sake of the others.
