DIFFERENT TRADITIONS SPEAK THIS PRINCIPLE IN A VARIETY OF WAYS...

JUDAISM

(Mishnah, Abot 2.5):  Do not judge thy comrade until thou hast stood in his place

BIBLICAL

(John 8:32):  You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

( excerpt Psalm 89):  Truth and justice are the foundation of thy throne.

(Matthew 7:1):  Judge not that you not be judged.

BUDDHIST

(Dhammapada 13-2):  One who acts on truth is happy in this world and beyond.

(Dhammapada 4-7):  Do not examine the faults or beliefs of others, or speak of what they have done or have not done; observe only yourself.

ISLAM

(Qur’an 16.3):  He has created the heavens and the earth with Truth.

HINDUISM

(Mundaka Upanishad):  Truth is victorious, never untruth.  Truth is the way.  Truth is the goal of life.

(Svami Purna):  Your Truth is your birthright; the judgement of others can not take that away.

MYSTERY TRADITIONS

(Alice Bailey):  He serves with discrimination who judges with the aid of his Higher Self and the Master, what is the nature and the measure of the problem to be solved, and is not guided by the well meant, though often ill-judged suggestions, requests, and demands of his fellow-servers.

(Alice Bailey): Having done his part, he passes on to a continuance of the Work, and cares not for the result of his action.  He knows that wiser eyes than his sees the end from the beginning; that insight, deeper and more loving than his, is weighing up the fruit of service; and that judgment, more profound than his, is testing the force and extent of the vibration set up, and is adjusting that force according to the motive.

(Angela Ponce de Leon):  As we practice nonjudgment and learn to see people through the eyes of compassion, we will increasingly understand their motivations and have no need to juge them, for judgment is a response to unacknowledged fear and self-doubt.

(Angela Ponce de Leon):  Public consensus about what is true does not thereby make the matter true.  Numbers are not a valid criterion for determining truth.  Entire populations have held erroneous opinions about reality.

MODERN

(Deepak Chopra):  Nonjudgment creates silence in the mind.

(Course in Miracles): Today I will judge nothing that occurs.
