DIFFERENT TRADITIONS SPEAK THIS PRINCIPLE IN A VARIETY OF WAYS...

ALWAYS CONSCIOUS EFFORT ACHIEVES THE DESIRED RESULT.

JAINISM

(Acarangasutra):  As long as I live, I must foremost be concious of non-violence in the thrice threefold way.   I am concious of Ahimsa.  I do not act, command, or consent to violence, either in the past, present, or future, through thought, word, and deed.

ZOARASTRIANISM

(Avesta, Yasna 35.3):  We make the concious choice, O Lord of Wisdom, O beautiful Truth, that all we do think, all we do speak, and all we do practice shall be the best of actions for all the living ones of all the worlds.

HINDUISM

(Bhagavad Gita):  With conciousness, everything is veiwed with an equal eye.  When a person makes response to the joys and sorrows of others as if they were his own, he has attained the highest state of spiritual union.
