“It is not a sign of good health to be well-adjusted to a sick society.”
~ J Krishnamurti
Now on an ever present basis it seems our rigid mechanisms and artificial boundaries are being called on to adapt and adjust to a more natural tide. As this happens we are discovering that the structures simply are not in place to handle the complex challenges we face. Any misconceptions about the true sustainability of our economic, energy, environmental and social support systems are being quickly eroded and it becomes increasingly apparent that our problems cannot be remedied by the mindset which created them. We must change the way we’ve been doing things, or our civilization falls. It’s evolution 101!
Hopefully this is enough of a call to action to merit our full attention. Yet at the same time, hope reigns supreme. There is certainly no loss of viable answers. Intelligent, New Solutions are manifold and must simply be mindfully selected and deliberately applied. With intentional steps we can indeed pioneer the shape of our future!
All that is ultimately required of us is a purposeful shift in our approach; a maturing of our actions so that they reflect the Wisdom of accountability. We are responsible for our choices and the reality they create and will unfold the potential we wish to express only when we learn to act in a greater state of accord with the world around us.
To unfold a new condition of being requires that we leave our present condition of being behind. We set aside yesterday’s ordinary behavior with yesterday, and allow a new course of actions to take us into a new tomorrow. Yet where do we actually begin? How can anyone expect to dive into a lifestyle of any significant difference when the majority of the world is still marching on (for now) largely the same?
The answer lies with consciousness.
Going through the motions of life doesn’t imply conscious activity. We can go through all the motions, directed by a full gamut of emotions, impulses, and drives, opening our eyes each morning and closing them every night, and yet still in a cosmic or spiritual sense be “unconscious” or asleep. And when we are sleeping through life our deeds rarely express our true intentions. Our heart desires a more noble life and our intention is to create a better existence yet instead we bounce between action and reaction, choice and behavior, often perceiving little correlation between the two. Expectations and reality may be (vibrationally) worlds apart.
Purposeful action and intentional behavior changes the world, and only they can make the Vision held by our heart and mind appear in the reality witnessed by our eyes. For where intention is concerned, consciousness and evolution become inseparable concepts. Intentionally refining the ability to wield our power and presence honorably and effectively (i.e. consciously) likewise refines our future (i.e. we evolve).
Thus to begin unfolding a new, significantly different lifestyle it becomes essential to develop an underlying framework or code of conscious conduct on which to build our model.
“The only true insanity is longing for something different while doing things the same.”
Einstein

rounded out and minutely articulated.”
George Santayana
