The Ladder to Heaven

The past was not our salvation. The future is not our salvation. Liberty is a project of the NOW.”
~ Soror XNC

Self-Realization is called a ladder. And climbing the ladder is called the Great Work. Successful Work, which is true Self-Realization, is called Liberty…

(Keep in mind, this circling is intentional to show how these terms and concepts interrelate.)

The word ‘true’ is stressed ahead of Self-Realization to imply that all three dimensions of consciousness are involved. That is, Selfhood, illumined by Awareness, and Actualized by Will (through experience.) It is an essential understanding that revelation remains incomplete without experiential Knowledge.

Self-Realization is called a ladder to impart a very specific, vital message. The ladder is conceived of as seven rungs. Each “rung” is one of our experience-vehicles. These experience-vehicles are also called chakras or vessels or “states of expression.” Four represent “bodies” or “conditions of Becoming” (physical, spiritual, emotional, physical) and three represent “presence” or “facets of Being” (Selfhood, Awareness, Will). While these rungs are (vibrationally) climbed interdependently and simultaneously, and in Actuality might be more like a tapestry or network; that the ladder-symbol endures buoys its importance. The suggestion is that Self-Realization is a way out of Time.

To explain the symbol-tongue – the thinking is that we come to birth by descending the vibrational ladder from a spiritual place to a material place. This movement of place is conceived of as an integral, vertical motion. A ladder (or spectrum) that goes down or up.

We arrive into the material condition at a point in the span of time. This “intersection” between place and time is our birth into the material condition. After that we are moving in time. There is the past behind us. There is the future, forward. Physically, we can only go in one direction, so our movement in time is conceived of as a horizontal motion. Not a line, but an arrow, with a trajectory and a speed.
Just as our thoughts and feelings can travel all over the landscape of time without going any place at all, our flesh vehicle can traverse the planet in our march forward through time, but never change the Actuality of place. Despite appearances to the contrary.

This is, partially, because moving in time is not an integral experience. Time is a compartment and requires compartmentalization to some degree.

Also physical movement, while a way to experience reality, is not the Actuality of movement. Or, certainly not movement in its Whole and complete modality. True movement of place is a vibrational alteration without any dependence on physical motion. It is integral. And for our purposes of ascension, it is a ladder up; to rise above the limitations of the present Human condition. Right NOW.

The key is to stop living for tomorrow and yearning for yesterday (or visa versa), so as to stay present, in the moment, where there is the power to rise to new levels of Being and Becoming. Awakening is Awakening. Meaning that your Inner Purpose is what it is today, or five decades from today. Nothing is going to happen in your external reality experience that adds or takes away anything that is different from what you are in this moment.

This is why the only practical and enduring model for Human Progress thinks in terms of movement toward a spiritual place through the eternal NOW; refraining from projecting into the future. The future is only a thought in your mind, but right now you can stand-up and be free.
