The New Frontier : Pursuit of the Ultimate

The present crisis within our system can be attributed to the opening of an energetic door. This is relative to precessional movement and our placement within the precessional cycle. The importance of recognizing this is that we can then “get real”. Instead of looking for ways to bandage our wounds we can begin to understand that everything is just as it should be, and exactly as many have long suggested it would be. The only way to pass through the door is as something new.

It is precessional movement that reveals where we are in
Earth’s developmental cycle. This “evolutionary program”
energetically defines the tone and conditions of any given
age.

Every 72-years we move one-degree “backwards”
in the cycle’s 360-degree circle. Thus we are talking
about a cycle 25,920 years in length, defined by its
twelve zodiacal ages of 2,160 years each. This
definition comes from the Sun's apparent position
in the zodiac when viewed at the Vernal Equinox. In our
present day the Sun at Vernal equinox is on the threshold
of Aquarius.

This cycle is thought of as a wheel, meaning that the end of a complete rotation is simply the beginning of the next. Hence the adage, “what has been will be once more."

  Crossing the Alpha-Omega point where one turn of the precessional wheel becomes the
  next marks the culmination of a "Great Year", complete with all of its seasons/ages of
  influence. It is a living mandala 25,920 years in the making, sketched by the Sun’s
  energetic dance through the zodiac.

  Within this precessional or zodiac wheel is a cross, in essence marking the four spokes
  on which the wheel turns. These four spokes connect to the wheel at the four fixed signs
  of the zodiac, mentioned in the Bible as the Cherubim, having the face of a Bull or Ox
  (Taurus), a Lion (Leo), an Eagle (Scorpio in its “risen” state), and a Man (Aquarius).
  These are the Angels which “turn every way” as they guard the gates to our lost estate.
  They are also the four points which “square the circle”, in the ancient alchemical context
  of bringing the infinite sphere into form (representing Earth and Body, Fire and Spirit,
  Water and Soul, Air and Mind), and the four points which allow us to establish and align
  our direction and navigate both the earthly sphere and the precessional cycle which
  guides us forward in our development. It is worthy to note here that the astrological sign
  for Earth is actually a circle with the cross within.

These fixed marks along the precessional cycle’s 360-degree circle occur every 6480 years, indicating the timing of a primary shift – a turning or advancing – in the evolutionary cycles of life on Earth.

For our purposes here, this cycle can be thought of as a “Great Day”, always beginning anew at the final hour, the midnight position, and in the Sign of Man (Aquarius). Every 1080 years, an “hour” passes; two such “hours” are spent per sign. At Sunrise (that is 6480 years into the cycle, or in our analogy, 6AM) we reach the first spoke, Scorpio, and the dramatic transformation of night (the scorpion) into day (the eagle). At Noon, then, we have the “Glory of the Day”, the Sun ascended to its apex, and the next spoke, Leo[1]. And finally, the Day yields its fruits as the Taurus-point brings Sunset – one last, sensuous hoorah before the dark and slumber again lead the way to the “midnight hour” and yet another rebirth through the Sign of Man.

While every astrological period brings with it a certain scope of change, it is at
the fixed ages that the (energetic and symbolic) lens is particularly refocused.
This refocusing not only keeps the wheel in motion but also on-track, aligning the direction of Earth-life so that our progress is, at essential points, rectified with Truth.

This Truth isn’t a dogmatic truth but the Universal essence of Truth. And where the emergent midnight hour is concerned, we are talking the innermost Truth of Being.

As we approach the zero-point of 2012 the most significant alignment occurring is with our own True Center. Increasingly we will watch the old ways falter and fail, and what will emerge and succeed will be the authentic kernel within, awakening and unfolding into expression.
